Data Liberation Initiative (DLI)
- DLI LicensingData use restrictions.
- Research Data Centres (RDC)RDCs provide access to the master file from which a DLI microdata file is produced.
Microdata Files from Statistics Canada
- DLI data files from the Statistics Canada siteUses a data extractor and tabulation engine called RDS (Rich Data Services). As of February 2024, data files from the DLI program are still being added.
- CHASS Data CentreFrom the University of Toronto, this resource allows direct access to many DLI data files by means of a web-based extractor and analyser called Survey Documentation & Analysis (SDA).
- ODESIA web-based data extractor (from the Ontario Council of University Libraries - OCUL) that also provides basic tabulation and analysis. Particularly convenient for extracting entire public use microdata files from Statistics Canada, but less effective in tabulation.
Research Data
- FRDR (Federated Research Data Repository)A publishing platform for sharing and preserving Canadian research data. Anyone can use FRDR to search for and download data. Memorial faculty may deposit data as the university is eligible to receive Tri-Agency funding. For help with depositing data, please contact Alison Farrell at: alisonr@mun.ca
- LunarisSearches multidisciplinary data sets from over 90 academic, government and research repositories in Canada. This includes data in the FRDR repository mentioned above.
