Streaming films and television shows
After the title, you can include the names of any contributor(s) relevant to your research (see section 5.41).
For the publisher, list the production company that made the work--MLA recommends listing the company that is “most prominently displayed” or that “had primary overall responsibility” for the work (see section 5.58). You may list multiple publishers.
If the work was viewed through an app, include the app name at the end of the entry (see section 5.112).
Films
Citation format:
Title. Contributor/s, Publisher/s, original year of release. Title of Database/Site, URL.

Episodes of television series
Citation format:
“Episode Title.” Series Title, contributor/s, season #, episode #, Publisher/s, Day Mon. year it aired. Title of Database/Site, URL.
Sample Works Cited entry:
“The Ryans and the Pittmans.” Republic of Doyle, written by Steven DiMarco, season 2, episode 6, CBC, 16 Feb. 2011. CBC Gem, gem.cbc.ca/media/republic-of-doyle/season-2/episode-6/38e815a-00ccbe4f9e8.

DVDs

Include DVD as the medium of the work at the end of the citation (see section 5.112).

Title. Dir. Director's name (If desired, you may include screenwriter and performers or other relevant contributors). Original release date. Name of Studio/Production Company/Distributor, DVD release year. Medium.
