American National Standards Institute. [ANSI].     Ref TA 401 A655 

  • comprises hundreds of current, uncatalogued  pre-2000 ANSI standards, organized by standard number. 
  • post-2000 ANSI standards have been purchased on demand, catalogued individually & shelved in QEII Reference
  • withdrawn / superseded ANSI standards are removed yearly
  • see the online ANSI catalogue for more information 
  • ANSI recognizes standards from other organizations as American National Standards; thus, some standards are listed as ANSI/ASME, ANSI/AWS, ANSI/ISO, etc.

  • standards, 2001-2011, are catalogued individually then shelved with series call number
  • recent AWWA standards & manuals are received online in the Knovel collection. Records + access links available in OneSearch

Canadian General Standards Board. [CGSB]         Ref TA 368 C25 QEII Library

  • Print copies of CGSB standards were received as they were published.
  • These are shelved together in the reference collection of the Queen Elizabeth II Library. These standards are not catalogued individually.
  • CGSB standards [2000-present] are freely available on the Government of Canada Publications web site - 

Canadian Standards Association [CSA]              Ref TA 368 C32 QEII Library

  • The print CSA standards collection comprises hundreds of uncatalogued current standards housed in QEII Reference
  • Standing order canceled July 2004
  • Withdrawn or superseded CSA standards are weeded from collection each summer
