Ship's Drawings

The Dr.C.R. Barrett Library has ship's drawings (blueprints) of approximately 235 vessels. The majority of these drawings were donated from the Marystown Shipyard. Many of the drawings are comprised of general arrangements and marine systems. Some examples of vessels covered are offshore supply vessels, tugs, trawlers, ro-ro ferries, and semi-submersibles. Although the collection is not complete it is an important resource for students studying naval architecture and marine systems design.

Rossi Collection

The Rossi Files are a collection of more than 6000 pamplets, project guides, and manuals from companies in marine related fields. They are an important resource for students studying marine systems design and naval architecture. Most were collected by Sergio Rossi, a marine systems design instructor at the Fisheries and Marine Institute. His files were donated to the library upon his retirement. Current material has been added by other faculty.
