Introduction to Turabian style
In 1937, Kate L. Turabian wrote a guide for students based on the The Chicago Manual of Style guidelines. This manual, which presents what is commonly known as the "Turabian" citation style, follows the two Chicago style patterns of documentation but offers slight modifications suited to student texts.
If your instructor requires you to use Chicago style for your assignment, you will need to consult our dedicated Chicago guide, as there are some differences between the two styles.
